1. Overview
This Limited Warranty Policy sets out the warranty and service terms applicable to (a) repairs carried out by Mobisthan (screen replacements and other spare parts), and (b) refurbished, open box, demo unit, and pre-owned smartphones, tablets, MacBooks, and Windows laptops sold by Mobisthan. All warranty entitlements are subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions set out below.
2. Warranty — Repairs (Screen & Parts)
2.1 Screens/Displays
- Screens or displays replaced by Mobisthan carry a 6-month warranty from the invoice date, plus 1 (one) month of one-time breakage protection.
- Functional failures of the replaced screen or display issues not caused by physical impact or liquid damage are covered. A verified manufacturing or workmanship defect will be resolved by replacing it with a new/quality-tested unit.
- If the customer's original (removed) screen is not surrendered at the time of replacement, the applicable screen warranty period is reduced to 3 months.
2.2 Other Spare Parts
- All other parts fitted during a repair (e.g., battery, charging port, speaker, camera module) carry a 3-month limited warranty from the invoice date.
- Functional failures caused by a manufacturing or fitting defect are covered; the remedy is repair or replacement of the part, at Mobisthan's discretion.
3. Warranty — Devices Sold by Mobisthan
- Every device sold by Mobisthan — refurbished, open box, demo unit, or pre-owned — carries a standard limited warranty of 3 months (90 days) from the invoice/delivery date, covering functional and hardware defects as described in Section 7.
- Chargers, cables, adapters, and batteries supplied with the device are covered for 3 months from the invoice date.
4. Who Is Covered; Transferability
Warranty coverage is valid only for the original purchaser named on the invoice and is non-transferable, except where the device is resold back through Mobisthan's own certified resale/exchange process.
5. How to Claim Warranty
- Email a short video clearly showing the defect to support@mobisthan.com, or send it via WhatsApp to 9521221477.
- Provide your order number, registered phone number, and the device's IMEI/serial number.
- Share your original invoice if requested.
- Mobisthan may request additional evidence, remote diagnostics, or physical inspection before approving the claim.
6. Claim Verification & Resolution Timelines
All warranty claims are subject to inspection and verification before approval. Indicative timelines:
| Stage | Timeline |
|---|---|
| Acknowledgement of claim | Within 24 hours |
| Pickup of device (serviceable locations) | Within 2–3 working days |
| In-store/walk-in resolution | Within 7 working days |
| End-to-end resolution (pickup to return) | Generally within 15 working days |
If a claim is accepted, Mobisthan may repair the device, replace the defective component, or replace the entire unit with an equivalent model, at its discretion. A repaired or replaced device carries only the remaining balance of the original warranty period — not a fresh warranty term.
Warranty remedies under this Policy are limited to repair or replacement. No cash refund, reimbursement, depreciation-based settlement, or store credit is available under this Warranty Policy, unless expressly required under applicable law. (This is separate from your rights under Mobisthan's Shipping & Return Policy during the initial return window.)
7. Scope of Warranty — What Is Covered
This Policy covers functional and hardware defects discovered within the applicable warranty term that directly relate to a part or component replaced/repaired by Mobisthan, or a pre-existing functional defect in a refurbished/open box/demo/pre-owned device sold by Mobisthan, arising under normal use and not attributable to any excluded cause listed in Section 8.
Covered components typically include the battery, display panel (functional issues only — see exclusions), motherboard/logic board, charging port, speakers, microphone, cameras, physical buttons, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/network modules, keyboard/trackpad (laptops), and biometric sensors (fingerprint/face unlock).
